River Bend Alpacas

River Bend Alpacas has grown and expanded the business in a variety of ways. They breed, raise, and sell alpacas. Additionally, their farm store carries a large line of alpaca products and yarn. Many of the products are made locally using fiber from their own animals! River Bend Alpacas offer farm tours to both small & large groups. Bus tour groups are encouraged to visit, as well, as there is ample parking space available. There is a small fee charged for visits.

About Alpacas: Alpacas are gentle, tranquil animals. They are small, easy to maintain, and generally require only basic care. They are shorn once a year in the spring. Alpacas are ruminants, which means they chew cud like a cow. They survive well on different kinds of low protein hay or pasture grass, provided it has a balanced mineral content. Alpacas utilize their food more efficiently than other ruminants, most likely due to the harsh environmental conditions in which they evolved. Learn more at wikipedia.org
