Lewis County Historical Museum (Lowville NY) – The Lewis County Historical Society is committed to acquiring, preserving, and exhibiting for current and future generations the social, economic, political, educational, and industrial history of the area. (website)

Black River Canal Museum (Boonville NY) – The Museum is located on the old site of Titus Powers Iron Works, built 1850 near the Main Street Bridge. The Black River Canal was a huge role in the life of the North Country for more then half a century. A group of Boonville residents secured a charter from the New York State Board of Regents to build a museum that will preserve, house, and display artifacts from the canal time period. Three buildings are planned for the museum: an exhibit hall, a small theater, and a gift shop. A full scale replica of a canal boat is located on the site too. The recently restored original warehouse that holds exhibits is also located at the museum. In the works is another building to hold artifacts, exhibits and more. (blackrivercanalmuseum.com)

Constable Hall (Constableville NY) – This historic home holds many memories ranging from the surgeon Dr. John Constable and son William and beyond. "William Constable is remembered best for his part in Macomb's Purchase, the giant real estate speculation which included about a tenth of New York State. One of three New York City capitalists who negotiated the Purchase, he became the principal owner and chief developer. In selling huge tracts to European and American Land companies, and in attracting individual families from New England, William Constable opened up the settlement of the North Country." Mennonite Heritage Farm Museum (Kirschnerville near Croghan NY) – This was the former home to three generations of Lewis County Mennonite Family. The exhibits and displays show artifacts and information about the life of the early Amish-Mennonite settlers. The Mennonite Heritage Farm offers guided tours and special events held each year depicting things from the past. Also there is a gift shop located there for any suvinerrs you may want. Railway Historical Society Museum (Croghan NY) – The Railway Historical Society of Northern New York (RHSNNY) has turned the old Croghan Depot from the Lowville-Beaver River Railway (L&BRR) into an historical museum. This train station museum is teeming with artifacts of life and memorabilia of life in the days of trains. (newyorktrains.com)

American Maple Museum (Croghan NY) - in Croghan is housed in the former Father Leo Memorial Catholic School. The school was built in 1916 with funds left for its construction by Theodore B. Basselin, a local enterprising businessman. The museum features three floors of exhibits depicting the history of maple syrup and sugar making techniques ranging from those used by the Native Americans to plastic tubing and stainless steel evaporators in use today. The museum sponsors a maple festival the first Saturday in May and also hosts pancake breakfasts several times a year. There is also a gift shop where you can purchase pure maple syrup and other maple items. (americanmaplemuseum.org)

Noth American Fiddlers' Hall of Fame & Museum (Osceola NY) - The New York State Old Tyme Fiddlers’ Association and the North American Fiddlers’ Hall of Fame and Museum are dedicated to the preservation, perpetuation and promotion of the tradition of old tyme fiddling in America.
